Until the House for a Donkey and Three Goats is built, a temporary structure for the chickens was designed, with the intent of testing wild-canes as a suitable material for partitions and façade construction.
A Sculpture to Lay Eggs, is a modular coop, built with simple materials: pinewood slats for the strucutre, recycled timber, chicken mesh, wild-canes for the façade and perches, and a corrugated metal roof. The interior of the upper-floor is cross ventilated and allows glimpes of natural daylight to filter through. An opening was left on the back end of the coop to allow people to collect the eggs without having to go inside the coop and disturb the chickens.
